THE CREEPING MAN


This story began when Sherlock Holmes told Cr. Watson about a new mystery that they had to solved. The exact problem that they had to investigated was Why does Professor Presbury’s dog try to bite him?

Presbury was a famous scientist, and his secretary Bennet was who visited Holmes to tell about the problem, he told that soon he will be marry with the Professor’s daughter, also that Presbury was in love with the youngest daughter of Professor Morphy, and from that time a strange change came over the Professor, he appeared to be keeping a secret.

On July 2nd the dog attacked the professor, one day Bennet saw the Professor was crawling, he was on his hands and feet, moving along with ease.
Holmes asked Dr Watson for his opinion and Watson said that may be Presbury had been upset by his love for the young woman and suddenly a young lady arrived, she was the Professor’s daughter, she told Holmes that his father had been strange and she was worried about it.

Holmes and Watson traveled to Cambrige where Professor lived, when they arrived Presbury’s house they didn’t noticed nothing unusual until the Professor became to be angry with them, so they had to left the house, but before that Holmes wanted to see the window of Miss Presbury and he saw a tree which grows up the wall, Bennett told that it was impossible to climb it and it would dangerous for a man to try.

There were more unconnected events, first the angry dog, the visit the Presbury made to a capital in central Europe and the man who crawls along passages at night, etc…
Then Holmes decided to follow the Professor with Bennett’s help, they saw how the professor suddenly change, he leaned down towards the ground and began to move along on his hands an feet, also he looked the tree which grew up the side of the house, and they watched him he suddenly began to climb it with speed and ease, he seemed to be enjoy it.

After all that Holmes checked the Professor’s mysterious box and he found a letter from Anton Dorak with an empty medicine bottle, the letter talk about two groups of monkeys and of a medicine for them (monkeys)…
With this Sherlock Holmes solved the case and his solution was that Presbury thought that taking medicine for monkeys he could be a younger man, so the dog attacked because he realized the changes and climbing up was just a game….

I like the story because it was more different than the others, because it was little strange, confusing and rare, and never made me think which could be the really problem and the solution for it, so it was really the most surprising end.

In general all the stories were great and I like to read them, they help me to learn more things not only about the language (English), also I learned about the life and many things that could be happened, obviously others were only a fantasy or difficult to be real.
I really enjoyed them!!!!

THE DEVIL'S FOOT



The story began when Sherlock Holmes knew that he had problems with his health and he need take a complete rest, he was worried at the idea of a serious ilness bringing an end to his work, so he decided to take a holiday with Dr.Watson, they traveled to the western part of Cornwall and stayed in a samall house, in this place they had to solve a mistery...

Holmes became a friend of a lawyer Mr Roundhay and with him lived Mr Mortimer Tregennis. the mistery began when Mr. Roundhay and Mr. Tregennis visited Holmes because they need his help, the problem was Tregennis's sister had been died and his brothers gone mad and noboby knows the reason. Tregennis told Homes that he had visited them the night before in the Village Tredannick, they had been playing cardas and then he left them. When he came back next day he found to his brother and all the things in the same place as he had left the last night.

Tregennis had had some problems with his family because of money, a mean the family business was sold and the money divided betwen all the brothers, but Tregennis said that all this had been forgotten, and they were the best firends.

After that the doctor arrived and told that the sister Brenda had been dead at least six hours and there were no sings of violence. There were somethings strange for example the remains of fire, Homes asked Tregennis about it, and he explained that the night was cold, the three had not changed their positions and that's mean the mysterious events were as soon as Tregennis left.
Then Dr Leon Sterndale an African exporer visited Holmes because he heard about the problem, he told Homes that they were his cousins, Suddenly Tregennis died like his sister, so Holmes went to the place where had happened it, he noticed that in the room was a oil-lamp beside the body, he connected all the clues and developed that the smoke of the lamp was the reason of the Tregennis's death.

The case was solved when Holmes deduced that Tregennis was the criminal, he had killed his sister and how Mr. Sterndale was in love with Brenda he wanted to get revenge, and for this reason he killed Tregennis, Homes decided to let him come back to Africa...

This story it was so great!!! I think that it was one of my favorites, but all the stories were more interesting in general and amazing!!!!
In particular this story had two important topics, the first one was how the love can make you do to many things although them can be bad things for example: the thing that Mr Sterndale did that was a killed a man, and the second one was the avarice, how people can killed to other person for money, in general the story was interesting and the end was very surprising and i like this kind of ends because you never know what can be happen....

This new talk about how virtual worlds can be valuable places where children rehearse what they will do in real life.
A research reveals, Web are also a "powerful and engaging" alternative to more passive pursuits such as watching TV.
The research was done with children using the BBC's Adventure Rock virtual world, aimed at those aged 6-12. Researchers use children and put them to explore the world alone but it uses message boards so children can share what they find and what they make in the various creative studios dotted around the virtual space.

The research revealed that children assumed one of eight roles when exploring a virtual world and using the tools they put at their disposal.

I think these research is interesting and impotant because these idea it could be true because children try to learned many useful social skills and played around with their identity in ways that would be much more difficult in real life...

But the most important thing in my point of view it´s that children can learn how they have to be in the real life and somethings that they will have to do in the future when they will be an adult...

CANCER VACCIN

The report said that scientists may be one step closer to producing a specific targeted vaccine for killing cancer cells.

Researchers have pinpointed a protein on immune cells which they hope will help them harness the body's defences to attack a tumour. These protein is unique to a type of immune cell called a dendritic cell, which is responsible for triggering the body's defence system.

I think that the results of this research are an important step towards understanding how to create cancer vaccines in the future...

In my point of view it´s fantastic that scientists make this kind of researchings because if they find the cure for this illness they could help people with this problem or may be with the vaccin prevent it and avoid the death to many people.

BEAVERS TO RETURN

The Scottish Government has announced that the beaver is to be reintroduced to Scotland for the first time in more than 400 years. The beavers, which will be captured in autumn 2008, will be put into quarantine for six months before four families are released. The Government have proposed the Five lochs for the release.

The beaver was hunted to extinction in that country many years ago, and for this reason i think those species will be making a comeback it's great!!!!
In my opinion these animals are beautifull,charismaticand resourceful and above all this they are more important for our ecosystems.

They can also have positive ecological benefits, such as creating and maintaining a habitat hospitable to other species.
The challenge was now for the licence holders to raise funds for the project, but i hope they can find a solution...

“THE FINAL PROBLEM”

The story try about the most dangerous criminal in London…

The story began when Dr Watson decided to tell the truth about what really happened between Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty that was a big criminal.
One day Mr. Holmes visited Dr Watson and told him if he wants to come whit him to anywhere, it was a little strange for Watson, because Holmes had never taken a holydays, so Holmes has to explain his reasons to him. He took about Moriarty, he said that Moriarty is a dangerous criminal, he’s the evil prince of crime, he has many agents, sometimes the agent is caught but never the controlling mind “The Professor Moriarty” and he’s anywhere in London, and for this reason Holmes can’t rest, so when he can set London free of Moriarty, his life’s work is done, because he has investigated over a thousand cases and has always been on the side of good, so his work will end with the arrest or death of the most dangerous criminal in Europe.
Sherlock Holmes told Watson that Moriarty and his group of agents will be arrest by the police, and unfortunately Moriarty knows about this and for this reason Holmes was in danger.
Some day Holmes and Moriarty had a meeting and in this conversation Moriarty told Holmes that he mustn’t destroy his plans and if he do it, Moriarty will be force to act, after this meeting Holmes had many attacks from Moriarty.
In the story Watson said that one day He was walking with Holmes and a boy ran up to him with a letter from a woman that wanted to see an English doctor, so he went and left Holmes alone, and he planned to meet with Holmes at one place, but it was the last time that he ever saw Holmes. He only found a piece of paper addressed to him, the paper was from Holmes.
Holmes explain all the things about Moriarty in the piece of paper, and with this, Watson will say the police all the necessary of the Moriarty group. When the police made a examination they noticed that the two men fought and fell together into the waterfall. So the most dangerous criminal and the best detective will remain for all time….

I think that this story was the best, because it was more interesting and amazing, some times I was stressed and exiting for to know what will happen with Holmes.
In few words the story was in pending all the time, well this is in my opinion, and I like that the author made us think that Homes was died and in the reality not, he continues with his cases and his life….

“SILVER BLAZE”

The principal objective of the story is solve a mystery and crime…

The story began when the racehorse Silver Blaze disappeared, and Mr. Holmes received telegrams from the owner, Colonel Ross, and Gregory, the detective, asked for his help!… and he decided to help them.
The essential facts of the case were, as the Silver Blaze was the favourite horse for the Wessex Cup, so his disappearance is of advantage to many people, and for this reason the trainer guard him well, but at night the trainer went to the stable to see if all was well, but he never came back, so his wife went to the stables, and saw Ned that is a boy to work in the stables unconscious, Silver Blaze gone, and there was no sign of the trainer, so they went out to search for horse and trainer and found the dead body of the trainer and he had a knife in one of his hands covered in blood, so people thought that he had hurt the stranger.
Gregory, the officer arrested a suspected “the stranger”, his names is Simpson, he was suspected because he wasted his money on betting against Silver Blaze, so the police thought that he had killed the trainer and then hid the horse in somewhere, but there were many strange things, so Holmes supposed that he’s not guilty, after the investigation that was a little difficult, Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson solve the case, they discovered that Silver Blaze was hiding until after the Wessex Cup, and the real criminal was the trainer “Straker” he needed money, so he wanted cut the horse and make it lame, but for accident the horse hit him, so he fall down to the ground, the knife cut him, and this was the reason of his dead.


I think that this story is more interesting and amusing, this one of the stories that more like me because in my opinion this is the most surprising end, the solution of the case was very disturbing and surprising, because I’d never thought that the trainer were the criminal.

Well in my conclusion the lecture was good and overcoat was entertaining , I thought this kind of books I don’t like me, but after read it, I really like it…

Scientists could predict cholera epidemics by using sensors on satellites, it has been claimed. Professor Rita Colwell of Maryland University explains the technology.
The cholera bacteria are in the see because of the temperature, so whit the satellite’s information, Now it’s possible predict cholera epidemics.

In my point of view with this, the doctors will can prevent this kind of illness, avoid to have victims in the hospital, and use the best medicine for help to people for don’t to have it.

They must tell people some things about how prevent the cholera, because it can to scatter for all the country, also be more careful whit this situation, because this kind of epidemics will be dangerous for all of us.

RAISING ARIZONA

The movie was very funny!!!!!

Try about an ex convicted that met a woman that she was a police, both get in love and decide to get married, they are very in love and wanted to have a baby but, they couldn't.

In my point of view the best mishap was when they tried to adopt a baby but they couldn't because H. I. was a ex convicted. They heard about one person that had quintuplets, so the couple planed to take one of the babies and raise it as their own.

I think that this kind of situations are very hard for the parents of the baby, not only in the movie, also in the real life.

Another part of tha movie that liked me was, when other people robed the baby to the couple, it was fun because this people lost the baby many times, a mean they forget him in different places and always they found the kid again.

And tha last one, it was when the couple returned the baby to his parentes, and the thing that i didn't like was that they couldn't realize their dream that to be parents and have his baby....

One in ten girls were found to have hyperactivity problems, but this research had a big impact, because the childhood hyperactivity has focused on boys, who are more likely to be diagnosed and treated.

Young girls can present different sings to have this problem about hyperactivity, for example: jumping up and down, not keeping still, and being fidgety, and obviously to be restlessness.

The girls that have the most hyperactive or aggressive problems likely to be addicted to smoking, fall into mentally abusive relationships and also likely to do poorly at school. In my point of view when we know somebody with this kind of problem, we should go to one expert that he can help us and find a solution soon, and avoid more serious problems in the future, that wont have a easy solution.

A jawbone and teeth discovered at the famous site in northern Spain have been dated between 1.1 and 1.2 million years old.

I think that it was a good discover, because this help to the science for to know more about our past or the culture and how we looked like more less many years ago.

HUMBBLE SITE

I had never listened to this kind of site, but I think that it’s very interesting to know about astronomy, although some things are very estrange, for example I didn’t know that, the constellations of this month are the zodiac sings Gemini and Cancer. Saturn it’s the dominant planet this month, I didn’t know this. But the most important that I saw, It’s the equinox and in this the sun is located at the same distance of the west and the east and in this moment the day and night are equal length, this happen when change winter to spring in 20th of march and after this, the day will longer than the night.
But I never think that many things can pass in March, and for this reason, in my opinion this report was very interesting, because you can learn or know new things that happen in the sky.

This week a listened to one news about how the alcohol affect to people, it was very interesting because, they explain us all the effects that the alcohol give to people that drink a lot for example, we can get fat and this give us a lot of diseases some of this are dangerous, some people are depending the alcohol and they think that drink a lot is good because that alcohol relax them but isn’t true, people get sick and then, they are tired, also they said that drink alcohol It’s bad for one woman that is pregnant, because the alcohol affect to the baby, Well I’m agree whit this and I hope that some day the drinking habit will get over…

The news that i lisened to try about one student killed five students in the university near Chicago, he had studied sociology, and I think that it was a bad news because this boy was a good student, well the police said that and for this reason nobody knows what he made this if he had theopportunity to be a good person o professional in the future but for this situation he lost it, also the police said that other people only was hurt,but they are ok.

I supposed that the student had a problems I don’t know about what but it’s the only reason that I see for he made all this things...

A todos los q visiten mi blog que la vdd dudo que sean muxos no se decepcionen si está super "X" pero la vdd esq no tengo idea de que ponerle o escribirle, creo q tengo muy poca imaginación y creatividad jajajaja!!! la vdd no siempre me pasa eso, pero espero ir mejorandolo con el paso de los días, además tengo que agarrarle la onda a esto xq no soy muy buena con la compu o algo x el estilo.... en fin espero que algun día este suficientemente bien!!!!!!!!
